Calling all Gen-X Kentuckians!
While working in marketing for a local foods organization after her 2010 relocation to Louisville, April Raque found purpose in championing the Kentuckiana farming community, joining the boards for Slow Foods Bluegrass, Celts on the River Music Festival, and helping found the Forecastle Foundation.
But the stress of corporate marketing built up. Stress-induced shingles forced her to stop – and realize she was in total burnout. That experience catapulted her, her family, and her career in a new direction and to Naples, Florida. She talks about all this and more in her debut book, GEN-X, The Adult Era: Designing a Life of Wellness (On Our Own, As Usual), which releases from Rebeca Books on October 7.
On October 11 at noon, April returns to her beloved Louisville to celebrate during a public launch party at Mayan Café. Longtime friend and Mayan Café co-owner Anne Shadle will interview April about the book and copies will be on hand for purchase and autographing by the author.
April is available for interviews.
